This notice describes the current prototype. The hosting provider’s contractual details, processing locations, and log-retention periods still need to be confirmed before the final launch.

Visiting the website
This website is hosted by Replit. Its static hosting is located in North America. To deliver a page, the hosting infrastructure receives the requested address and technical connection data, including your IP address and the browser information sent with the request. Providing and securing the website is the purpose of this processing. The intended legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the interest in operating a functional and secure website.
The application itself includes no Google Analytics, AdSense, advertising pixels, external font requests, or embedded social-media widgets. The final hosting arrangements, any platform-level storage, retention periods, recipients, and any international-transfer safeguards remain to be documented for the production website.
Cookies and browser storage
Our application code does not set cookies. It can use localStorage and sessionStorage in your browser. The same consent principles apply to these storage technologies. You can use the site while declining optional preferences.
Necessary: sonooga-storage-choice-v1 records only your storage choice, its version, and its expiry date. It is valid for up to 180 days and contains no unique visitor identifier. This record is used to respect your decision under section 25(2)(2) TDDDG.
Optional, only with your consent: sonooga-language remembers your selected language; sonooga-blue-current-theme remembers your color scheme; sonooga-stable-glyph-crossfade-intro-seen remembers in sessionStorage that you have seen the introduction. These entries are read and written only while preference storage is allowed. They are removed when you withdraw consent, or on your next visit after the consent expires. Session storage also ends with the browser session.
The basis for optional storage is section 25(1) TDDDG and, where personal data are involved, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can change your decision at any time through “Storage settings” in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You can also clear website data through your browser.
The conversation preview
The conversation is a scripted demonstration running in your browser. Your answers are held in the current page’s memory. They are not sent to Sohrab, a model provider, or a server by the conversation code, and are not saved in browser storage. Reloading or leaving the page ends that conversation. If you choose the email button, an editable draft containing your conversation is opened in your email app. You decide whether to send it.
Email and booking a conversation
If you send an email, I process the information you provide to answer your inquiry and, where applicable, prepare or carry out our work together. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual inquiries, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for responding to messages. Correspondence is kept as long as it is needed for that purpose or a statutory retention obligation applies.
The booking button is a link to Google Calendar, not an embedded calendar. A connection to Google is made when you follow that link. Information you enter there is handled under the service’s own privacy terms and used to arrange the appointment. LinkedIn and other external links likewise take you to another provider when selected.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and subject to its conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time. You may object on grounds relating to your particular situation to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Contact sohrab@sonooga.com to exercise these rights.
You also have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (datenschutz-berlin.de).
