Workplace experiences for young people

Design a career-exploration day where young people try real tasks, meet the people doing the work, and discover whether it interests them.

Design, pilot and handover, scoped together

How can young people find out what working here feels like?

We develop a practical encounter with your workplace. Young people get something to try and questions worth asking. Your team gets a format it can host, learn from, and use again.

How the engagement runs

  1. Understand the workplace

Look at the work, the participants and what your team can realistically host.

  2. Design the experience

Build the activities, the sequence and the materials with the people involved.

  3. Run a pilot

Prepare the hosts, try the day and collect feedback from participants and the team.

  4. Hand over and improve

Revise what needs changing and leave your team ready to run the format again.

We use what we learn to revisit and improve earlier steps.

What we develop together

We work with the people who know the workplace. Together we turn everyday work into accessible activities, walk through the day, and try the format with participants. Their questions and feedback show us what to change.

What we work toward

  • Choose tasks that make the work understandable and give participants a realistic experience.
  • Prepare employees and apprentices to explain, listen, and support people trying something unfamiliar.
  • Create a clear next step for young people who want to explore further.

What you receive

  • A runbook with learning goals, activities, timing and responsibilities.
  • Activity briefs and materials adapted to your workplace and participants.
  • A preparation session for the employees and apprentices hosting the day.
  • A feedback format, a review of the pilot and agreed improvements.
  • A plan for follow-up opportunities such as a conversation, work experience or an apprenticeship application.

Choose the scope together

Who it is for

Organizations that want to introduce school students and young people to their work, with the employees and apprentices who will host them.

Preparation

We clarify the age group, group size, learning aims, suitable activities and practical constraints. The people responsible for the workplace agree supervision, access and safety requirements.

We can develop the concept, accompany its first delivery, or prepare your team to host it independently. We agree which parts you need before starting.

We agree the deliverables, responsibilities and timing before starting.

The perspective I bring

I bring together experience in education, work with young people, learning design and organizational development. We look at what participants learn and what your organization learns from meeting them.

Bring your situation

We begin with a conversation about your needs, the people involved and a useful first scope.

Introductory conversation

A 15-minute introductory conversation to understand your situation and explore whether working together makes sense.
