One-Day Workshop

AI: Understand, Explore, Apply

Try AI on real work. Learn to judge the results. Choose an experiment worth running.

What This Is For.

Find out where AI helps with your work. We test its capabilities against your tasks and examine the skills, checks, and support people need to use it well.

Who It Is For

Teams and leaders who want practical experience with AI and a clearer view of where it belongs in their work.

What We Work Toward

  • Build a shared understanding of generative AI, its capabilities, limits, and the difference between an assistant and an agent-supported workflow.
  • Identify useful applications through customer needs, recurring tasks, bottlenecks, and the cost of error.
  • Practice giving context, checking outputs, and deciding what needs human judgment or an alternative approach.

What You Experience.

Participants work on a real task twice: first with their current approach, then with AI. They compare the results, challenge one another's assumptions, and examine what improved, what failed, and what it took to get there.

How we approach the work

  1. Start with real work

Choose a real task and establish how it is done today, including the quality and effort it requires.

  2. Compare and question

Try AI, compare results, and examine what improved, what failed, and which assumptions need revision.

  3. Choose an experiment

Agree a small next test, human checks, ownership, and a point to review what happens.

What You Take Away.

We work toward these outcomes:

  • A short, prioritized list of AI applications for your team's work.
  • Reusable task instructions or a simple workflow, with quality checks and escalation points.
  • A first experiment plan with an owner, baseline, success criteria, and a review date.

A Proposed Agenda.

We adapt this starting point to your context, experience, and the question you bring.

  1. 30 min

    Start With The Work

Surface current questions and expectations. Choose real tasks and define what a useful result would look like.

  2. 35 min

    Build A Shared Picture

A compact introduction and live demonstrations, including plausible but wrong outputs, uncertainty, and the limits of delegation.

  3. 45 min

    Try, Compare, Question

Hands-on pairs work with approved tools and non-sensitive examples. Compare AI-supported and current approaches.

  4. 15 min

    Break

    Time to pause.

  5. 60 min

    Run A Use-Case Lab

Develop a task workflow. Supply context, define the desired output, and decide where a person must check or intervene.

  6. 45 min

    Lunch

    Time away from the work.

  7. 45 min

    Evaluate The Result

Test against examples and failure cases. Examine quality, time, trust, and who carries responsibility.

  8. 40 min

    Look Beyond The Tool

Map implications for skills, roles, collaboration, customer value, and concerns about what may be lost.

  9. 30 min

    Choose An Experiment

Prioritize a small test and agree an owner, learning question, measures, boundaries, and review date.

  10. 15 min

    Close And Transfer

Each participant names the next action and the support needed to take it.

Before And After.

Preparation

A short scoping conversation, a picture of participants' experience, and two or three representative tasks. We agree appropriate tools, accounts, and data boundaries beforehand.

Continuing The Work

An optional review after the first experiments helps distinguish a disappointing tool result from a task, workflow, or learning problem.

The Perspective I Bring

We consider individual confidence and assumptions, practical skills and behavior, team norms, and the structures and technology around the work.

Start With Your Situation.

Let's talk about what is happening and which form of support could help.

Introductory conversation

A 15-minute introductory conversation to understand your situation and explore whether working together makes sense.
