Recruiting Process Design & Consulting

Recruiting with clear criteria

Develop interview questions, practical tasks and shared criteria that help both sides understand the role, the workplace and what they can expect from each other.

Analysis, tool design, practice and review

What do you need to find out before deciding to work together?

We examine the role, your working culture and your current selection process, then turn what we learn into a practical interview guide. The aim is a clearer conversation about the work, the applicant's starting point and the support needed to learn.

How the engagement runs

  1. Clarify the requirements

Explore the work, the team and which requirements matter at the start.

  2. Build the interview tools

Translate relevant criteria into questions, practical tasks and assessment guidance.

  3. Try the conversations

Prepare interviewers, rehearse the guide and compare observations.

  4. Review and refine

Use feedback from the first interviews to improve the guide and the process.

We use what we learn to revisit and improve earlier steps.

What we develop together

We interview people doing and supporting the work to understand the culture as it is lived, compare assumptions, and develop questions and tasks. Your interviewers try the guide, discuss differences in their assessments, and revise it after the first conversations.

What we work toward

  • Distinguish what a person needs on entry from what they can learn with appropriate support.
  • Agree relevant criteria and what would count as evidence for each one.
  • Give applicants a realistic picture of expectations, working conditions and development opportunities.

What you receive

  • A picture of your working culture, grounded in interviews, including expectations applicants should know about.
  • A role brief separating entry requirements, learning potential and support needs.
  • A set of agreed criteria with observable examples.
  • An interview guide with open questions, work-related exercises and prompts for the applicant's questions.
  • A shared assessment sheet and guidance for discussing different observations.
  • A preparation session and a review after the first interviews.

Choose the scope together

Who it is for

Organizations, hiring managers and people responsible for apprenticeships or early-career roles who want a shared basis for selection conversations.

Preparation

Bring the role description, current interview materials and examples of decisions that were difficult to make. We agree whose experience to include and how to handle applicant information.

We can develop the guide with you, prepare the interviewers and review how it works in use. Findings can also inform onboarding, mentoring and leadership development.

We agree the deliverables, responsibilities and timing before starting.

The perspective I bring

I connect inquiry into the organization with learning and practical tool design. We examine what the role requires and what the organization offers someone entering it.

Bring your situation

We begin with a conversation about your needs, the people involved and a useful first scope.

Introductory conversation

A 15-minute introductory conversation to understand your situation and explore whether working together makes sense.
