Progress begins with a better question.
I help leaders, teams, and organizations in transition challenge assumptions, see new possibilities, and turn clearer thinking into practical action.

When we build something new, we often need to reconsider how we work together, what we believe, and who takes responsibility. As AI changes what we can build and how we build it, these questions become part of product, process, and business model innovation. I help teams work through them, exploring how people and systems learn, how people need to grow, and how to lead through these changes.
Business, technology, and people don't change in isolation. I work where they meet.
Before choosing a solution, we examine the situation and the assumptions shaping how we see it.
You might be exploring AI, navigating a difficult team transition, or wondering how you want to lead. We start with what your situation needs.

AI + business innovation
I designed and built a full-stack prototype for a business serving real estate agents. Testing revealed technical possibilities, quality limits, and a more complicated market-entry question.

In a guided life-design program, young people use AI tools to explore who they are, how they want to live, and a possible first step.
An early-stage venture my partner and I are building.
Read the caseWe begin by examining what is happening. We look for patterns, question our explanations, and decide what to try. Then we return to what happened and what we learned.
Listen carefully. Look at what people experience and what happens in practice. Bring assumptions, tensions, and overlooked perspectives into view.
Examine what could explain the situation and which question we need to address. We look at tools and processes alongside what people need to learn, how they relate to one another, and who takes responsibility.
Develop possibilities and choose a useful next step: a different conversation, a leadership decision, a working agreement, or a prototype. Put it into practice, review what happens, and adjust.
What we learn can change our explanation of the situation.
I want people, teams, and organizations to have more agency: to make informed choices, take initiative, and act on their ideas. Using AI well requires skills, room to experiment, and clear responsibility.
Sympoiesia
How can organizations keep learning and creating something new?
AI changes what people and organizations can do. Making good use of it also means reconsidering how work is organized, how decisions are made, and how people learn and take responsibility.
Sympoiesia is the framework I am developing to work through these connections. It draws on my client work and existing approaches to organizational development.

My path connects geoscience research, physical and digital tool development, basketball, education, innovation, and organizational life.
Playing competitive basketball and coaching taught me how closely individual growth and collective performance are connected. Teach First deepened my understanding of leadership as something we exercise, whatever our position.
I have led a university lab, worked with self-organizing teams, and shared CEO responsibility in a geothermal venture. Today, I work as a coach, facilitator, strategic partner, and builder.
Expect energy, warmth, intellectual intensity, and direct challenge. I care about creating space where you can speak honestly, disagree, and find your own way forward.
In coaching, group work, and building, I draw on what I learned as a scientist: look closely, question explanations, and test ideas.
My story & perspectiveMy work with education and organizations comes from the same place: a desire for people to keep their curiosity, creativity, and willingness to contribute.
With 2Morrow Lab, my partner and I are building life-design learning experiences and AI tools for the transition into adult life. With organizations, I help create places where that potential can grow.
Recruiting and onboarding can be a starting point. Mentoring and individual leadership development can accompany people as their responsibilities grow.
